Elephant Rock at sunset
Early evening, we will take you to the Elephant Rock, also known as Jabal AlFil, one of AlUla’s many geological marvels. Unlike the ornate, hand-carved facades of nearby Hegra’s Nabataean tombs, the “trunk” and “body” of this monolithic red sandstone beast were hewn by natural forces — millions of years of wind and water erosion. The beauty of the unrefined structure is enhanced by its surroundings of a fine-sand sea studded with rocky outcrops, many of which are equally impressive in size and have interesting shapes and figures.
The area has very nice atmosphere with a cafe and restaurant, the seating area are build underground filled with magical lights that its just wonderful to witness the sunset.

Drift gently over the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hegra, around unique rock formations and over lush farmlands. The diverse colors and vistas of the flight will make for beautiful photographs and unforgettable memories.

Explore Shaaran Nature Reserve’s stunning landscapes with incredible sunset views, a nocturnal eco-walk, delicious dinner, and mesmerising stargazing.
- Pick-up from AlUla hotels in a Land Rover Defender 130 between 02:30 PM and 04:00 PM, depending on the season. We will inform you of the exact pick-up time around noon on the day of your experience.
- Arrive at the Sharaan Nature Reserve and receive your stainless steel water bottle to take home. Get a briefing from your dedicated Conservation Guide about your experience.
- Explore the Reserve as you embark on a safari through the canyons and valleys, with several opportunities to stop and explore. Points of interest include vast rock formations telling unique stories, inscriptions dating back thousands of years, and lush fields in which you can truly take in the unique scents of the local flora.
- At sunset, embark on a short hike up a canyon to be greeted with a breathtaking scene of a vast valley and canyons. Sit back, relax and enjoy canapes as you watch the sun go down.
- Arrive at your camp for the evening and experience true magic as the scene of lantern-lit canyons unfolds before you.
- Venture into nature with your dedicated Conservation Guide and UV lights as you try to spot nighttime creatures and learn about why they are so important to the ecosystem.
- Indulge in a four-course meal that consists of a South African-style “braai” completed with grilled meats, vegetables and sides as well as indulgent appetisers and desserts.
- Retreat to the lounging area and relax next to the bonfire as you listen to tales of the night sky with an immersive stargazing session and even get to see the stars and planets up close through a telescope.
- Return to the hotel between 09:30 PM and 11:00 PM, depending on the season. Your total experience will last approximately seven hours.
Day 3 : AlUla Tour
Hegra Vintage Land Rover tour
Today let’s explore the most popular historical site in Saudi Arabia, Madain Saleh in a vintage Land Rover. It is one of Saudi Arabia tours that is a must do, it is the first to be listed as a UNESCO Word Heritage, Madain Saleh means the “cities of Saleh” after the name of the Prophet Saleh who tried to convert the ancient people of Thamud to Islam. The day begins with an immersive introduction to Egypt’s ancient heritage at the legendary Giza Plateau. Standing before the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure offers an unforgettable first encounter with one of the world’s most remarkable archaeological sites. Guests will continue to the iconic Great Sphinx and the adjacent Valley Temple, gaining insight into the engineering and mysteries of ancient Egyptian civilization.
Along the way, there will be opportunities to discover traditional Egyptian craftsmanship with visits to a renowned Papyrus Institute and local Perfumery.

Day 9: Cairo – Aswan – Dahabiya Cruise
Following breakfast at the hotel, guests will check out and transfer to Cairo International Airport for their domestic flight to Aswan.
Upon arrival, a representative will provide assistance before transferring guests to embark on their elegant Dahabiya Nile cruise.
After settling into the cabins, lunch will be served on board while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the Nile.
The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the highlights of Aswan. Guests will visit the enchanting Philae Temple, beautifully situated on an island and dedicated to the goddess Isis. The journey continues to the impressive Unfinished Obelisk, offering fascinating insight into ancient stone-working techniques.
Returning to the Dahabiya, the vessel will begin sailing northward towards Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, guests will visit the remarkable Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to two deities and dramatically positioned along the Nile’s edge.

Day 10: Edfu & Sailing Along the Nile
Breakfast will be served on board while enjoying the tranquil scenery of the Nile.
Arriving in Edfu, guests will explore the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. Dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus, the temple offers a remarkable glimpse into the grandeur of the Ptolemaic period.
Returning to the Dahabiya, guests will enjoy lunch on board while sailing through picturesque Nile landscapes lined with palm groves, villages, and fertile farmlands.
The remainder of the day is spent relaxing onboard as the vessel continues towards Luxor via Esna.

After breakfast onboard, the Dahabiya arrives in Luxor, often referred to as the world’s greatest open-air museum.
Following lunch onboard, guests will begin exploring the treasures of Luxor’s East Bank. The visit starts at the vast Karnak Temple Complex, an extraordinary collection of sanctuaries, pylons, and obelisks constructed over nearly two thousand years by generations of pharaohs.
The journey continues to Luxor Temple, magnificently illuminated by history and located in the heart of the ancient city. Connected to Karnak by the famous Avenue of the Sphinxes, the temple showcases some of Egypt’s finest ancient architecture.
Guests return to the Dahabiya in the evening for dinner.

Day 12: Luxor West Bank

After breakfast, guests will disembark from the Dahabiya and begin exploring Luxor’s legendary West Bank.
The morning is dedicated to the Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of Egypt’s New Kingdom pharaohs. Hidden within the desert mountains, these elaborately decorated tombs reveal the beliefs and artistic achievements of ancient Egypt.
The tour continues to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most striking architectural masterpieces, dramatically built against towering limestone cliffs.
Following the visits, transfer to Luxor International Airport for the flight back to Cairo.
